Course Overview

Graduates of the Bachelor in Applied Computer Science will be well equipped to meet the requirements of both industrial and commercial organisations for information technology specialists. We offer Industrial Experience (Stage) on this program, which combine academic study with industrial placement between your taught modules and projects. The Industrial experience as part of your degree gives you a route to develop real-world, practical problem-solving skills gained through your programme of study in a professional context. This can give you an important edge in the graduate job market.

Career Prospects

All graduates have obtained relevant positions in IT-related fields and positions including: business analyst, team leader, software developer, web / mobile developer, systems analyst, assistant project manager, network technician. Graduates will be employed in almost all areas including public or private sector organizations. We are working with industrial partners who take our students on industrial training and at the end the students are recruited based on their performances.

Teaching Methods

The program will be assessed in a variety of ways that are appropriate to the subject and learning outcomes within the program. Assessments will include written examinations, coursework in the form of written assessment, oral presentations, reports and projects, case studies, and in the final year, a research project. However, some modules will be assessed wholly on the basis of continuous assessments.

Requirements

EITHER Pass in: 3 subjects at A-level and 1 subject at subsidiary level at Higher School Certificate Examination

OR Pass in: 2 subjects at A-level and 2 subjects at subsidiary level at Higher School Certificate Examination

OR Pass in: 3 subjects at A-level at the London General Certificate Examination

OR Equivalent pre-University qualifications

Candidates having a Diploma in Software Engineering or Applied Computer Science or any other acceptable Diploma in Information and Communication Technology can join the third Year of this programme.
