They also learn Managerial skills with a broad mindset regarding sustainable and green development. Course Overview

Career Prospects

After completing their DUST – GC, students are apt to fill posts of Technical officers and Site Managers/ Agents in the Public and Private sectors related to Civil Engineering. From design to completion, DUST – GC holders participate actively in different phases of Building and Civil Engineering projects.

Teaching Methods

Teaching and learning takes place through lectures, tutorials, study of research papers, laboratory work, individual and group projects, site visits, seminars and industrial placement. Students are expected to spend a considerable amount of time on private independent study. Even though the main medium of instruction will be French, some modules or part of, may be taught in English. Some parts of the dissertation may also be written in English. Our aim is to train bilingual professionals who will have a definite advantage in today’s competitive and g globalized job market. On successful completion of this course, you will be awarded a DUST Genie Civil.

Requirements

HSC or equivalent with at least 2 Advanced Level in Maths and Physics. Additional Advanced level Science and /or Technical subjects will be an advantage. “Brevet de Technicien (BT, BTS)” and “Baccalaureate” in Science are also accepted.

Mode: Full Time (2 years) & Part Time (3 years)
Duration of Course: The diploma is of a duration of two years on a full time basis.

Local students ( Full time and part time )
• No tuition fees
• Administrative fees : Rs 9,000/ year
International students ( Full time )
• SADC countries: Rs 45000 / year
• NON SADC: Rs 80000 / year
Delivery plan & Intake: The course is run over 4 semesters (two academic years) on a full time basis and 6 semesters (three academic years) on a part time basis.
One intake per year in August
