Dr Raj Dreepaul holds a PhD from the Universite des Mascareignes (UDM), an MPhil from the University of Mauritius, a BSc in Occupational Safety and Health from NEBOSH (UK) and a B.Tech(Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Mauritius.

Dr Dreepaul has been actively working on several research projects involving alternative Refrigerants in the Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (RAC) Sector in Mauritius.

His work has focused on optimizing the efficiency of RAC equipment by using alternative refrigerants and reducing the carbon footprint in the sector.

His work has also laid emphasis on the safety aspects of natural refrigerants such as ammonia, carbon dioxide and hydrocarbons.

His work has led to several publications in the field.

Research Interests:

  1. Phase out of Halogenated Refrigerants in the RAC sector in Mauritius.
  2. Managing Carbon footprint in the RAC sector.
  3. Risk Assessment and safrty Hazards of Natural refrigerants.
  4. Optimising Safety in the Workplace.
