Specialist in Structural Design and Project Management, Dr. Abdel Isker MUDHAWO is actually Senior Lecturer/ Researcher in the Department of Civil Engineering and Environment. He has a PhD in Civil Engineering, an MSc in Project Management and a B.Eng.(Hons.) in Civil Engineering.
Before joining Université des Mascareignes, Dr. Mudhawo was the Head of Engineering Department of KALIS group, Mauritius, leading several construction projects. He was also a Research Assistant at the University of Mauritius. He has followed trainings in Civil Engineering pedagogies at IUT du Limousin, Université des Limoges, France. He has been awarded a certificate for the international course on Urban Infrastructure & Planning using GIS (Geographical Information System) at NITTTR, Chennai, India. He has been a former Head of the Civil Engineering Department and also shoulder the post of Course Coordinator for the BSc (Hons.) Civil Engineering Part Time cohort.
As Senior Lecturer, Dr Mudhawo is engaged in modules related to: Structural Analysis, Structural Design, Project Management, Sustainable Building Design and Civil Engineering Softwares. Dr. Mudhawo also delivers lectures for the “Social and Environmental Responsibility” modules for his department. He is actually collaborating in research projects with NITTTR, Chennai, India and Geolab, Unilim, France.
