Developments in technology have recently transformed our way of working. In-depth knowledge of computer science therefore becomes essential in research and graduates in the arts and humanities often find themselves faced with using computer tools in their field of research and in workplace.
With this in mind, the Top-up degree in digital humanities aims to train in 1 year students in new professions, so that they can develop digital skills, and thus add a digital dimension to their area of expertise, allowing them to open up to other disciplines, even to a larger community. It is a multidisciplinary programme.
« Crash course » (60hrs) compulsory BEFORE the start of the course:
- Introduction to programming (for students with no computer knowledge) AND
- Humanities writing skills (for technical/non-literary students)

The Bachelor top-up degree in Digital Humanities will lead students on a multi-sector professional:
- Research
- Publishing, advertising, communication, public relations
- Journalism (data journalist, etc.)
- Heritage conservation institutions
- Teaching (transmission of a citizen conscience, training in media, images and information and communication technologies
- New jobs in digital creation
- Jobs in the area of document management, databases, archives, cartographies, digital communication, etc.
Entry
Requirements
HSC + 2 years University Diploma or 2 years study at recognized university in any fields
Course Structure
Semestre 1
- Research Methodology in Digital Humanities
- Web scraping
- Scientific and technical production in Digital Humanities
- Programming with Python
- Legal and ethical framework of Digital Humanities
- Personal and Professional Project (PPP)
Please note that the course’s organization by semester can be modified.
Semestre 2
- Graphic design and multimedia
- Introduction to augmented, virtual and mixed reality
- Culture of innovation and entrepreneurship
- E-marketing
- Accounting and Finance
- Final dissertation
- Internship (12 weeks) or Setting up of a tech start-up and defense
