The objective of this course is to produce graduates in Civil Engineering with qualifications satisfying the criteria of the CRPE (Council of Registered Professional Engineers) of Mauritius in order to be eligible for registration as Trainee Engineer in view of ultimately seeking registration with the CRPE for the title of Registered Professional Engineer. This course of BEng (hons) in Civil Engineering has been approved by the CRPE Mauritius and following graduation the degree holder must comply with the rules and regulations of CRPE.
This degree covers Fields of Study called “Unité d’Enseignements”, namely “Formation Générale”, “Formation Scientifique et Technique”, “Formation Technologique” and “Formation Professionnelle”. Each academic year comprises of two semesters and each semester in full-time carries 30 credits. At the end of the course, the student must earn 240 credits.

Engineering Jobs after registration with CRPE like Site Engineer, Resident Engineer, Consulting Engineer, Town & Planning Engineer, Civil Engineer, Building Engineer, Road Engineer, Water Engineer, Wastewater Engineer, Bridge Engineer, Traffic Engineer, Structural Engineer, Quality Control Engineer, Project Engineer, Tunnel Engineer, Dam Engineer etc. Some of these specialist jobs may require additional qualifications and/or training. * Management Jobs like Project Manager, Site Manager, Project Coordinator, Quality Control Manager etc.

Entry
Requirements
EITHER Pass in: 3 subjects at A-level and 1 subject at subsidiary level at Higher School Certificate Examination
OR Pass in: 2 subjects at A-level and 2 subjects at subsidiary level at Higher School Certificate Examination
OR Pass in: 3 subjects at A-level at the London General Certificate Examination
OR any other acceptable equivalent qualification
Students must have studied Science/Technical subjects with passes preferably with passes in Maths and Physics ( or equivalent) at A level.
