This programme pursues the course programme of the Diploma in Marketing designed to cover the core skills as well as the soft skills essential to embark for a successful career in the accounting and finance world.

You will be exposed to accounting standards, auditing guidelines as well as accounting for decision making. This will enable graduates to be fully involved at senior level of an organization to work as financial accountants, management accountants or even consultants. In the first year you will be exposed to managerial and basic accounting skills. The second year builds on the knowledge acquired to expose the students to more advanced concepts in accounting, auditing and the legal environment. In the final year, more emphasis is laid on the importance of strategic control concepts and enhancing analytical skills. There is also an opportunity to undertake a work placement within the industry. Some of the key modules taught over the 6 semesters are listed below.

Teaching Methods

Teaching and learning takes place through lectures, tutorials, individual and group projects, seminars and industrial placements. Students are expected to spend a considerable amount of time on private study. Even though the main medium of instruction will be in English, some modules will be taught in French. The dissertation may be written in either English or French. Our aim is to promote bilingual professionals who will have a definite advantage in today’s competitive and globalised job market.
