This programme is designed to cover the core skills as well as the soft skills essential to embark for a successful career in the accounting and finance world.
You will be exposed to accounting standards, auditing guidelines as well as accounting for decision making. This will enable graduates to be fully involved at senior level of an organization to work as financial accountants, management accountants or even consultants. In the first year you will be exposed to managerial and basic accounting skills. The second year builds on the knowledge acquired to expose the students to more advanced concepts in accounting, auditing and the legal environment. In the final year, more emphasis is laid on the importance of strategic control concepts and enhancing analytical skills. There is also an opportunity to undertake a work placement within the industry. Some of the key modules taught over the 6 semesters are listed below.

There has always been a demand for accounting related professionals. With major development in the economy, there is an even increasing demand for well-trained graduates in accounting. Graduates will be employed in accounting firms, accounts department of public or private sector organisations as accountant, finance director, management accountant and auditor.
